Featured wedding - Lauren & Leo - Manor Farm Barn, Buckinghamshire 1st August 2026

Once your booking is confirmed, there’s not too much you’ll need to do until we’re a few weeks away from your wedding day. At that point, I’ll be in touch to arrange a planning get-together where we can sit down, have a chat and run through everything — the who’s who, the day’s timeline, all the little details and, most importantly, the photography you’d both like to have… or indeed, not have!

This get-together is an important part of the process. It gives me the chance to understand your plans, get to know you both and find out what you want from your photography — including anything you’d rather I didn’t do.

We’ll also chat through a plan for foul weather, so if the British weather doesn’t quite play ball, we’ll have a few ideas up our sleeves and know what to do. Whether that means making the most of a sheltered spot, finding a beautiful indoor alternative or simply embracing the rain, we’ll have a plan in place to make sure you still get some lovely photographs, whatever the weather throws our way.

If we do need to head indoors, don’t worry, I always bring professional studio lighting with me and have plenty of experience working with tricky lighting conditions, transforming even the darkest, dullest spaces into something beautiful. So, whatever the weather decides to do, you can relax knowing I’ll make the most of whatever we have to work with.

I’ll also set up a WhatsApp group for the three of us, which means we can keep in touch easily throughout the run-up to the wedding. It’s a great place to share ideas, photos, plans, timings, questions or anything else that pops into your heads along the way. If you spot a photograph you love, have an idea for something you’d like to try, or suddenly remember something you forgot to mention — just pop it in the group!

Every couple is different, and I don’t believe your photography should be a one-size-fits-all approach. Getting to know you means I can tailor the way I photograph your day around you both, allowing your personalities and relationship to shape the overall style and feel of your wedding photography.

Come the wedding day, I’ll arrive at whatever time we agreed during our planning get-together. My full-day coverage means exactly that: we agree a start time, but there’s no fixed finishing time.

If you’d like some getting-ready photographs of the groom, I’ll normally start with him. This could be anything from the general chaos of getting ready, a few beers and some banter with the boys, to the little details that help tell the story of the morning.

I’ll then head over to where the bride is getting ready to capture what’s happening there too, the preparations, the dress, shoes, flowers, jewellery and all those little details that have taken months to organise but somehow seem to disappear in a whirlwind on the morning!

Along the way, I’ll photograph the people around you, the nerves, the laughter and all those little moments that happen naturally, often without you even noticing. These photographs help set the scene for the rest of the day and can produce some wonderfully natural images.

Of course, nothing is set in stone. If you’d prefer me to spend more time with one of you or concentrate on something specific, that’s absolutely fine. We’ll have discussed your preferences beforehand, but I’ll always remain flexible as the day unfolds. With years of experience photographing weddings, I’m comfortable dealing with changing situations and unexpected hiccups, handling them calmly and professionally without adding stress or fuss to your day.

As the celebrations get underway, I’ll follow the approach we’ve agreed, whether that’s relaxed and informal, creative, largely candid, or a mixture of everything. I know when to offer a little direction and when it’s better to step back and let things happen naturally. The aim is to capture the atmosphere, the personalities and the genuine moments that make your wedding yours, without turning the day into a photography circus.

And because my coverage has no fixed end time, there’s no clock-watching or mad rush to squeeze everything into a predetermined timeframe. I want you to spend your day enjoying the company of family and friends, not being taken away for long photography sessions. I’ll stay for as long as there are meaningful moments left to capture, giving you plenty of notice before I do finally head off.

Ultimately, my job is to tell the story of your day in a way that feels right for you, capturing the important moments and all the little things in between, while allowing you to enjoy every minute.

I'm an experienced professional photographer who plans ahead, adapts to the situation and understands that your wedding day matters far more than creating a portfolio of staged images. I care deeply about my work, the experience you have along the way and the quality of the photographs you receive.

"This is your wedding day and not my photoshoot of a wedding."

Once I leave your wedding, I’ll head home and get straight to work. The first thing I’ll do is back up all of the day’s RAW files, making sure everything is safely stored before I start working through the images.

I’ll then load everything into my processing software and have an initial look through the photographs. I’ll also select a few of my favourites, and if there are some little gems that jump out at me, I may even send you a few teasers through our WhatsApp group within the first 24 hours!

I like to keep my processing workflow as up to date as possible, so I’ll normally start working on your images almost immediately. On occasions, I’ve had a wedding fully processed and ready within a week, although officially I quote 2–3 weeks for your complete collection to be ready for delivery.

When it comes to the actual processing, I tend to keep things fairly timeless. My main styles are natural colour, black and white, warm vintage colour and sepia-toned monochrome — you’ll be able to see examples of these throughout my website.

I’m not really a fan of jumping on the latest photography trends or applying heavily stylised filters just because they happen to be fashionable at the moment. Trends come and go, and what looks great today can sometimes look very dated a few years down the line.

For me, your wedding photographs should still look fantastic many years from now. Natural colour and black & white have a timeless quality to them, and that’s something I much prefer over chasing the latest editing fad.

I’ll also keep you updated as I work through everything, so you’ll have a good idea of how things are progressing and when your photographs are likely to be ready.

Once everything is finished, I do prefer to present your photographs to you in person if possible and if I am, then I’ll sit down with you both and run through the complete collection, giving you the opportunity to see everything properly and, most importantly, making sure you’re both happy with the finished photographs.

Your images will be supplied digitally on a USB memory stick, containing two versions of the complete collection.

The first will be a set of large, high-resolution JPEGs, suitable for viewing on a large screen and for printing.

The second will be a set of the same images in smaller, low-resolution JPEGs, which are ideal for phones, tablets, email, websites and sharing on social media.

I’ll also create an online preview and download link via WeTransfer, so you can easily share the photographs with family and friends without having to pass the USB stick around.

So, from the moment I leave your wedding to the moment you receive your finished photographs, there’s still plenty going on behind the scenes — and I’ll keep you in the loop along the way.

Paul was fantastic from start to finish.
He took time to walk us through the typical overview and visit the venue to get some ideas of setup which made everything very smooth on the day.
He was great with guests (getting all the important photos and getting people in the spirit of the occasion).
The follow-up provision of photos was very well done and the edits (where needed) made for lots of very special photos.
The venue staff were extremely complimentary of him which speaks for itself. We would definitely highly recommend using him!

"We had the pleasure of working with Paul Griffiths at a recent wedding at Manor Farm Barn and he was an absolute delight from start to finish.  He was friendly, professional and a pleasure to have around.  He was fantastic with Lauren and Leo making them feel comfortable and helping to make their special day even more enjoyable.

We enjoyed his company so much that we would love to work with him again and sincerely hope he is booked at our venue for future weddings.  We would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for a talented photographer who is not only great at what he does but also a genuinely lovely person to have around on such a special day."
